Well. You have to start somewhere and I had the idea for this for quite a long time already, but I guess I needed this one experience I had on my latest exploration travel to the Island of Kos, where we visited a lot of the small archaeological sites that don’t stand on the list that every Kos tourist visits, like the
Ancient Theatre of Astypaleia.
Not too much people visit this awesome ancient archaeological site and only a small fraction of people understand it’s importance and what they are actually see there.
This leads to disappointment, because there isn’t much to see, but most importantly it leads to the site being littered, falling apart, fading out of people’s minds and ultimatively to the site being lost forever.
I have to admit, that this little neglected site that has so much potential and importance, that it found its direct way to my heart and finally made me start this PRESERVATION PROJECT.
